Franchise Development & Marketing Group has recently opened their first franchise office in California. The office is located in Santa Barbara and services the entire region from Los Angeles to San Francisco. We are here to work with you in finding out more about your business and discussing franchising as a method of expansion.

 

Our Company is unique in that we help successful businesses go through the entire franchise process; from initial consultation through all the legal requirements which we help you meet, documentation of your business model with operations and training manuals so that your business may be duplicated, marketing of your business opportunity to potential buyers and the follow up of franchisee sales. Geoffrey Hassan is the President of our Central California Franchise Office.

Our philosophy is that of creating an “atmosphere of partnership” with our clients so that their success becomes our success. Our commitment is to provide honest consultation in evaluating the many expansion opportunities that are available to growing businesses and together determining if franchising is the best option for your business.

Services We Provide Consultation

Initial Consultation—we discuss with you the possibilities of franchising your business, helping you understand what’s involved and whether it makes sense for you to move forward. There is no fee for this analysis.

Candidate Stage– here we help you determine if you are a good candidate for franchising, and if so help you decide where to begin. If we both decide that you are a good candidate, and we agree to move forward, we present to you our contract and fee structure. So you know, most of our fees come later when your franchise opportunities are sold. It always costs to sell franchises, but you will pay us less than any other method.

Contract Stage

Contract Stage—we agree on the details of the contract, including services we are to provide and the fee structure for those services. Every candidate is different, and the fee structure will vary accordingly.

Legal Stage—We assist you in making sure your proprietary rights are protected. We prepare the necessary legal documents including the Uniform Franchise Disclosure Document tailoring it to fit the states in which you will be franchising. We will also make sure you are qualified to do business in those states. We will also prepare the Franchise Agreement which will be the agreement between you and your franchisees. Other legal work includes trademark and trade name protection, employment law and registration.

Operating & Training Manuals—with your input we prepare the materials necessary for successful duplication. A franchisee will be paying for your expertise and know how, and it is here that all these are put together. This is a key to successful duplication as well as a legal requirement. Here the System to be duplicated is created.

Selling Your Franchise

Marketing Your Franchise Opportunities—we are now ready to market and close your franchise opportunities. It is here that qualified buyers are found and franchises are awarded.
